how to participate |
in order to participate in GoodMatch,
you must first register. this does not commit you to anything. |
once you've registered, you'll be able to set up match profiles and right
away check to see who matches. GoodMatch does
two-way matching, so that the people you see listed not only match what
you're looking for, but you match what they're looking for.
registering
by registering:
you can set up match profiles which GoodMatch
will use to find your ideal
partner or friend. |
you can read any matching member's profile and see
their photograph (if they've uploaded one). |
your profile remains available for matching against
members who join after you. |
you can send messages to other GoodMatch
members without revealing your e-mail address. |
you can return at any time in the future to
check for new matches. |
you can return at any time to update
your profile. |
you can hide a match profile at any time so that
your own profile is not available for matching. |
you can block correspondence from particular GoodMatch members. |
you can unregister at any time. |
registering is free and will not commit you to any future payment. |

matching |
GoodMatch uses a carefully-constructed questionnaire as
a basis for characterising each member. not only does GoodMatch
search for matches both ways, it also allows you to set up separate
match profiles for different types of matches: |
committed relationship* |
friend |
casual relationship* |
'pen' friend |
encounter* |
travel partner* |
this way when GoodMatch finds you a
match, you both know what you're looking for. |
*these categories are not available to users aged under 16.
communicating
when you see someone you want to talk to, just write them a message: your
e-mail address won't be revealed. if, after you've sent a message, you have
second thoughts about what you've written, you can go back and edit it (so long
as the recipient hasn't already opened it). GoodMatch
conveniently files read messages by correspondent until you delete them. if you
feel that someone is pestering you, you can set your account to ignore all
messages from them. |
privacy
we will not release your e-mail address to anyone for any purpose,
except if ordered to do so by a court of law. if you send a message via our web
site, the recipient will not see your e-mail address, just your
(first) name and GoodMatch ID. |
